CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace 

Who is this course for?
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is suitable as an introduction to employees who are formally studying Health and Safety for the first time. The qualification can be tailored to business and individual needs to make the learning experience relevant and fit for purpose.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements, although all experience gained within a variety of workplace settings is relevant to the course and useful to each candidate to gain a greater understanding of Health and Safety in the Workplace.

What will I study?
The qualification covers the following topics:

• Legislation
• Health, safety & welfare
• The workplace and workplace equipment
• Risk assessment
• Manual handling
• Hazardous substances
• Ergonomics and workstation design
• Transport and vehicles
• Noise and vibration
• Working at Height

How will I be assessed?
The course is 6 hours in duration and is completed by a 30 question multiple choice paper which is marked by the awarding body CIEH.

What can I do after the course?
It is recommended that this qualification be renewed every 3 years to comply with changes in legislation and good practice. The award is both nationally and internationally recognised.
