Equality and Diversity Workshops

Who is this course for?
This course is suitable for all employees who are delivering a front line service to employees, students and members of the public. It is also ideal for employees working in the Care Sector.

What are the entry requirements?
There are no entry requirements, although all experience gained within a variety of workplace settings is relevant to the course and useful to each candidate to gain a greater understanding of Equality and Diversity in the Workplace.

What will I study?
By the end of the workshops participants will:

• Have an increased awareness of equalities legislation, updated to include the 2010 Equalities Act

• Become familiar with the guidelines and procedures to ensure compliance

• Understand the roles and responsibilities of employer and employee in relation to equality and diversity

• Identify ways of promoting equality and diversity

• Appreciate the overt and covert nature of discrimination

• Identify skills associated with putting equality and diversity into practice

How will I be assessed?
